Tulip Garden quilt
In 1986 I hand appliquéd this Tulip Garden quilt for my 3 yr old youngest daughter. Fast forward to October 2015 I had been practicing background fill in feathers on a muslin, I remembered this UFO. Over the years I would take it out and wondered how I would hand quilt it. My daughter is now 33 and expecting her third baby, if it's a girl this will be hers.
I quilt with a Bailey Home Quilter 17E I free motion quilt but I did use a stencil on the four corners and feathered from there. In the center I lightly penciled arcs to place large feathers then filled in with pebbles. Next I will post a pic of complete quilt.Sunday, October 11, 2015
Gypsy Wife Quilt
I have finished my Gypsy Wife Quilt, it's a flimsy but it's next in line for quilting. Using Kaffe Fassett fabrics exclusively with only a few additional fabrics, I love the vivid colors.

TWINS!!! BOY AND GIRL!!! NURSERY BEDDING IN PROGRESS
Twins are due in October so this Mimi has been BUSY sewing nursery bedding.
The crib quilts I made with hand embroidered blocks made by her grandmother in the 40's and by a family friend who made" kitten days of the week" tea towels as a wedding gift for this precious couple. Girl's quilt has inset bias ruffle and boy's quilt has inset prairie points.
